Hi there, I am a Staffy Mum… Splinter is my fourth Staffy and was born with a deformed leg. After leg surgery at the age of 14 months, I decided to find a doggy day care where he can make friends and enjoy the company of other 4-legged friends.

When I contacted Nicki at “Mind My Lead” I had no idea what to expect. I went for an interview, which I really appreciated, because Splinter required some extra downtime and I needed to explain the situation with his leg. I was hoping he would be accepted into the “Mind My Lead” family, although it was not easy for me to leave him somewhere else.

One year later and I am so grateful! Mind My Lead is not just a doggy daycare. Splinter has made the best friends, comes home exhausted and the photos I see on Facebook, is proof that he is having the time of his life when visiting. But more than that, my dog has manners, he is well behaved around people and other dogs. I can take him to a park without being nervous that he is going to hurt smaller dogs. Nicki and the other ladies are also full of great advice, and I can’t thank them enough for what they do. Some days I wish I could stay and have fun with them…

I used to laugh when I hear people send their dogs to daycare, now I know why they do it😊Splinter is a completely different dog, thanks to everyone at “Mind My Lead”.

We have been sending our boy Dante to Mind My Lead for the past 6 and 1/2 years. He absolutely loves going there, when we mention let’s go see Nicki , Dante gets so excited and looks at a us to say come on let’s go. He has made so many friends at Mind My Lead big and small. As he is our bestest boy we know he is safe, happy and especially loved by Nicki and all the staff. We can’t recommend Mind My Lead highly enough.

Ever since Phemie started at MML in 2019 she has loved her Auntie Nicki and attending daycare. When Eustace joined our family, it was only natural he would attend also.

Eui attended puppy school as a tiny dot where he started to build his confidence before joining daycare. They now both bark with utter excitement as we drive up each week for drop off!

The puppies have also stayed at MML overnight, enjoying walkies, yummy meals/treats and cuddles after hours.

They have both made furiends who they happily play with each week (even Phemie who can be reactive!) and friendships that we foster outside of daycare.

When we drop them off, we are at ease knowing they are safe, well cared for and loved by the team.

Nicki and the team (special mention to Amanda) are amazing and genuinely adore each member of their fur family.

We cannot recommend them enough!

When we leave our dogs at Mind My Lead we know they will be loved, cared for and exercised. When our dogs arrive at Mind My Lead they know they are about to have the best day full of fun, activity and socialising. There is nothing nicer than dropping by at the end of the day to find a very tired, very happy pooch who comes home, collapses and dreams all night about their adventures that day. Who could not be happy with that? Thank you Nicky and team. You enrich our dogs' lives and they are so much better off for being in yours!

Nicki and the whole Mind My Lead team are absolutely incredible. Bringing my Harley to MML for daycare and holiday care has been the best decision I have ever made.

The MML holiday care is phenomenal, I go on holiday completely care free knowing that Harley is having the time of his life and is being looked after and loved on by Nicki and her amazing team. The daycare is just as amazing; to the point that we are unable to say the word daycare at our house, otherwise our little man runs to the door, gets so excited and starts crying to go to school.

I could go on and on about how wonderful MML is and it all comes down to the fact that without even intending to, MML has drastically changed Harley’s life (& ultimately mine) for the better. Prior to MML Harley used to be such a shy boy who didn’t really know how to interact with other doggy’s and never really played much at home. Fast forward to now and my little boy is so confident in himself, he runs through those MML doors so excited for the day ahead and now absolutely loves playing catch. It makes my heart so full and happy knowing how much fun and love MML brings into my Harley’s life and for that I am so deeply grateful for Nicki and her whole team.

Home away from home

For Abby, my GSP, Nicki and MML are her home away from home. Not only does she have a great day all round, but she is loved and cared for like she would by us. Also, a plus she gets to socialise with other doggos under the team's supervision, and learns a manner or two on the way ;)

Whether it's a day of fun or a weekend of dog sitting while we travel, MML is Abby's home away from home.

Our mini dachshund Franklin has been attending Mind My Lead for over four years. We booked Franklin in as we were keen to ensure he was well socialised and having fun whilst we were working. We felt a part of the Mind My Lead family immediately. Nicki and the team at Mind My Lead are true dog lovers, they balance the day with fun activities and foster discipline. When we pick Franklin up, the team have a report on how he enjoyed the day. We know Franklin has a great time as he cannot wait to get there and is smiling when we pick him up! Franklin also stays with Nicki for holiday care, we trust Nicki and the team implicitly, it means a lot that we can lean on the team when we go away and that Franklin is so happy to be there. We highly recommend Mind My Lead for both daycare and holiday care!
